Letter: Naturalist Nights kicks off this week

Want to understand how climate change is impacting our ecosystem? Maybe you have a hankering to learn about moose in the Roaring Fork Valley or other key local environmental issues. If so, come join us for our annual Naturalist Nights Free Winter Speaker Series. Naturalist Nights begin this week with “Wildlife at the End of the Earth: Antarctic Birds and Animals” at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 8 at the Third Street Center in Carbondale and at 7 p.m. on Jan. 9 in Aspen at the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies. Join notable birder Dick Filby for an introduction to the incredible wildlife and scenery that can be experienced in Antarctica. Naturalist Nights are brought to you through a partnership between the Wilderness Workshop, ACES and Roaring Fork Audubon. Hot tea and the warmth of education will be provided. Visit http://www.wildernessworkshop.org for more information.
