History: Snowmass Village Mall c. 1978

A view of the north side of the Snowmass Village Mall taken in 1978 by Steve Straford. The many business signs show the variety of shops, including the Tower Restaurant, the Last Resort Restaurant, La Reserve Restaurant, the Snowmass general offices, Short Sport and the Cap and Cork Liquor Store. Much of the space is now taken up by D&E Ski and Snowboard Rentals, which has grown from the small Snowboard Specialty Shop started in the 1990s.
