Free parking for vets in Snowmass Base Village

In honor of the 28th annual National Disabled Veteran Winter Sports Clinic this week in Snowmass Village, the Base Village Metropolitan District and Related Colorado are offering veterans with a military ID free parking all day in the Base Village parking garage through April 4.

“We welcome and support the many veterans visiting Snowmass Village this week,” said Jerome Simecek, Snowmass Hospitality’s director of operations. “We thank them for serving and offer our assistance this week in celebration of the Winter Sports Clinic with this free parking.”

Some 350 disabled veterans are expected to be in Snowmass Village this week. The clinic is sponsored by the Department of Veterans Affairs and Disabled American Veterans, and it serves as a rehabilitation program for veterans with brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations and other disabilities.

Parking in the garage also will be discounted for all drivers in April. All-day parking will be $10 on weekends through April 20.
