Fourth of July in Snowmass marches on with party at Base Village
Anna Stonehouse/Snowmass Sun
Ring in the Fourth of July with your neighbors as Snowmass hosts its second annual community celebration in Base Village from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
All are invited to the Base Village lawn for games — such as kickball, LED bocce ball, badminton and Frisbee — a bounce house, a scavenger hunt with patriotic prizes and free sweet treats from The Sled Mobile Kitchen including ice cream, pie and brownies.
DJ G6 will provide the tunes and the Bitsy Caravan will feature a photobooth. Circus performers also will be on-deck to teach children modern circus tricks such as face painting, creating balloon animals and ribbons and hoops. The instructors also will perform and teach their skills on stage.
The family-friendly gathering Wednesday coincides with the 45th annual Snowmass Rodeo. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the show kicks off at 7 p.m.
