The Snowmass Wildcat Fire Protection District responded to the following calls from Jan. 11 to 17.

Jan. 11

Fire alarm at the Crestwood Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.



Medical call to Snowmass Club Circle for a person suffering from a severe nosebleed. One person was evaluated by an ambulance crew and released. No transportation was needed.

Medical call to the Timbers Club Snowmass ski-patrol pickup location for a person suffering from back pain. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.




Public assist at a home on Sinclair Road. Crews assisted a person from his house to his car.

Medical call to the Base Village bus depot for a person hitting their head against the wall. The person was evaluated and turned over to the Snowmass Village Police Department.

Fire alarm at the Sonnenblick Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by smoke from the fireplace.

Fire alarm at the Crestwood Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.

Mutual aid requested by the Aspen Ambulance District for a medical call on North Eighth Street in Aspen for a person showing signs of a stroke. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

Medical call to the Terracehouse Condominiums for a person suffering from chest pain. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

Jan. 12

Medical call to the Stonebridge Inn ski-locker area for a person who had fallen and was suffering from a neck injury. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

Medical call to the Snowmass ski-patrol pickup location for a person who had fallen onto the snow from a considerable height. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

Medical call to the Snowmass ski-patrol pickup location for a person suffering from neck and lower back pain. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

Medical call to the Snowmass ski-patrol pickup location for a person suffering from a loss of consciousness. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

Jan. 13

Medical call to the Snowmass ski-patrol pickup location for a person suffering from a leg injury. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

Medical call to the Snowmass ski-patrol pickup location for a person suffering from a head injury. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

Medical call to the Snowmass ski-patrol pickup location for a person suffering from back pain. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

Fire alarm at a home on Wood Road. The alarm system was activated by smoke from a closed fireplace flue. The home was ventilated, and the alarm system was reset.

Medical call to the Snowmass ski-patrol pickup location for two people suffering from head injuries. Two people were transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

Citizen assist at a home on Faraway Road for a small amount of gasoline that spilled from a vehicle. Crews cleaned up the spill and ventilated the structure.

Medical call to 65 Timbers Club Court for a person feeling faint. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

Fire alarm at a home on Meadow Road. The alarm system was activated by a smoke condition created by a closed fireplace flue.

Jan. 15

Fire alarm at the Timberline Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.

Medical call to the Timbers Club Snowmass ski-patrol pickup location for a person suffering from hip pain. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

Medical call to the Snowmass ski-patrol pickup location for a person suffering from an altered level of consciousness. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

Medical call to the Snowmass Clinic for a person suffering from a shoulder dislocation. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

Medical call to the Creekside Condominiums for a person suffering from breathing difficulties. One person was evaluated at the scene and refused transportation to the hospital.

Jan. 16

Mutual aid requested by Aspen Ambulance for a medical call at the Aspen Recreation Center pool area for a person suffering from seizure-like activity. One person was evaluated by the ambulance crew, and transportation was not needed.

Fire alarm at the Crestwood Condominiums Beech Building. The alarm system was set off when someone maliciously activated a pull station in the stairwell. No smoke or fire conditions could be found.

Medical call to the Burnt Mountain Circle Snowmass ski-patrol pickup location for a person suffering from a possible broken collarbone. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

Medical call to the Gallun Lane Snowmass ski-patrol pickup location for a person suffering from a possible head injury. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

Fire alarm at a home on Edgewood Lane. The alarm system was activated by a possible system malfunction, as no smoke or fire conditions were found.
