Fire Calls, Aug. 17-23

The Snowmass Wildcat Fire Protection District responded to the following calls from Aug. 17 to 23.

August 19

Public assist at a home on Sinclair Road. Crews assisted a person back in to their wheelchair.

Mutual aid requested by Aspen Ambulance District for a medical call on South West End Street in Aspen for a person suffering from anxiety. One person was evaluated at the scene and refused transportation to the hospital.

Mutual aid requested by Aspen Ambulance for a medical call on Main Street in Aspen for a person who was intoxicated. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Medical standby at the Snowmass Rodeo. One person was seen for a nose bleed. They refused transportation to the hospital.

Medical call to the Viceroy hotel for a person suffering from a possible stroke. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

August 20

Fire alarm on Wood Road for Freon leaking from the cooling system. The incident was turned over to on scene management.

Fire alarm on Wood Road. The alarm had not been reset by on-scene management since the previous call. The alarm company dispatched us out again. No hazards remained.

Medical call to Snowmass Club Circle for a person who had fainted. One person was evaluated at the scene and refused transportation to the hospital.

Fire call at a home on Meadow Road. The occupant saw smoke coming from his dryer. He turned the dryer off. No smoke or fire were found upon firefighters’ arrival. Firefighters advised the occupant to have all of the lint cleaned out and have a vent installed.

Carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Mountain Crest Drive. The alarm system was activated by a possible system malfunction as no carbon monoxide was detected in the house.

August 21

Fire alarm at a home on Bridle Path Lane. The occupants thought that their humidifier set off the alarm.

Public assist at a home on Sinclair Road. Crews helped a man in a wheelchair up the stairs into his home.

Medical call to the intersection of Brush Creek and Kearns roads for a person suffering from dehydration. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Fire alarm on Carriage Way. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.

Fire alarm at the Club Commons. The alarm system was activated by a possible system malfunction as no smoke or fire conditions were found.

August 22

Medical call to Carriage Way for a person suffering from shortness of breath during Mudderella. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Mutual aid requested by Aspen Ambulance for a medical call at the intersection of Owl Creek and Cluny Roads for CPR in progress. No one was transported.

Medical call to the intersection of Sinclair Road and Sinclair Lane for a motor vehicle accident. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

August 23

Medical call to Kearns Road for a person suffering from thumb pain. One person was evaluated at the scene and refused transportation to the hospital.

Mutual aid requested by Basalt Ambulance for a medical call on JW Drive in Basalt for a person suffering from an injured toe. The response was canceled.
