Fire Calls

Staff report

The Snowmass Wildcat Fire Protection District responded to the following calls from Aug. 31 to Sept. 5:

Aug. 31

■ Medical call at 5275 Owl Creek Road, the fire station, for a person who was choking. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.



Sept. 1

■ Fire alarm at a home on Spur Ridge Lane. The alarm system was activated by construction dust.




■ Medical call at 5275 Owl Creek Road, the fire station, for a person who was suffering from belly pain and feeling itchy. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

■ Elevator alarm at 130 Wood Road, the Viceroy Hotel, for a woman stuck in the elevator. The elevator was turned over to on-scene property management.

Sept. 2

■ Mutual aid requested by Aspen Ambulance to stand by in its district for additional calls. No calls were received.

■ Carbon monoxide alarm at a home on the Ridge of Wildcat. No carbon monoxide was detected. On-scene management stated that it had hit the test button on the a carbon monoxide detector.

Sept. 3

■ Medical call at 130 Wood Road, the Viceroy Hotel, for a person suffering from abdominal pain. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

■ Mutual aid requested by Aspen Ambulance to respond to a medical call at a home on Mountain Crest Lane for a possible overdose. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Sept. 4

■ Medical standby at JAS Concert. No transports were required.

Sept. 5

■ Fire alarm at 35 Lower Woodbridge Road the Seasons Four Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.

■ Fire alarm at 52 Club Commons Circle, the Club Commons, Building 4. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.

■ Fire alarm at 105 Daly Lane, the Slopeside Lanes in the Timbermill Building. The alarm system was activated by a cleaning error in the kitchen.
