The Snowmass Wildcat Fire Protection District responded to the following calls from July 7 to 13:

July 7

Mutual-aid request from Basalt Fire to stand by at Station 42 for additional calls in its district.



Fire alarm at a home on Snowmass Creek Road. The alarm system was activated by a possible malfunction, as no smoke or fire conditions were found.

Medical call to Pine Lane, the Snowmass Mountain Rangers pickup location, for a person suffering from a possible head injury. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.




Fire alarm at 300 Carriage Way, the Stonebridge Inn. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.

Fire alarm at a home on Wood Road. The alarm system was activated by a possible malfunction, as no smoke or fire conditions were found.

July 8

Mutual-aid request from Aspen Ambulance to stand by in its district for additional calls.

Fire alarm at 100 Elbert Lane, the Westin Hotel. The alarm system was activated by a possible malfunction, as no smoke or fire conditions were found.

July 9

Fire/medical call to the intersection of Owl Creek Road and the Tom Blake Parking Lot for a vehicle off the road. No injuries occurred, and the response was canceled by the Snowmass Village Police Department.

Medical call to 130 Wood Road, the Viceroy Hotel pool, for a person who had fainted and was suffering from an injury to their mouth. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

Rescue call to 115 Daly Lane, the Mountain Chalet, for a man and a woman stuck in the elevator. Both people were rescued from the elevator. No injuries occurred.

July 10

Auto aid to Aspen Fire on Cozy Line Trail for the rescue of a mountain biker with a calf laceration. Two paramedics responded on mountain bikes. One person was transported from the bottom of the Cozy Line Trail to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

Fire alarm at a home on East Snowmass Creek Road. The alarm system was activated by a possible malfunction, as no smoke or fire conditions were found.

Fire alarm at a home on Wood Road. The alarm system was activated by steam from a shower. Property management was on its way to the home to reset the alarm.

July 11

Carbon monoxide alarm a home on Oak Ridge Road. The alarm system was activated by a possible malfunction, as no carbon monoxide was detected.

Mutual aid requested by Aspen Ambulance for a medical call on North Third Street for a person suffering from shortness of breath. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

Fire alarm at 70 Commons Circle, the Commons employee-housing complex. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.

July 12

Medical call to Wood Road in front of the Viceroy Hotel for a person suffering from a broken ankle. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

Carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Gallun Lane. The alarm system was activated by a possible malfunction, as no carbon monoxide was detected.

July 13

Medical call to 640 Carriage Way, the Laurelwood Condominiums, for a person who had fainted. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

Fire alarm at 400 Wood Road, the Crestwood Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by construction dust.

Medical call to Pine Lane, the Snowmass Mountain Ranger pickup location, for a person who had fallen off a bike and was suffering from an abdominal injury. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.
