The Snowmass-Wildcat Fire Protection appointed a new board member following the resignation of Wolf Gench.
Gench, who joined the board in 2014, resigned because he moved to Carbondale and Snowmass fire board members are required to reside within the fire district.
Drew Detrick, a former volunteer firefighter with the Snowmass Wildcat Fire Protection District, will fill Gench’s vacancy.
Detrick is a resident of Snowmass Village and works as senior VP and branch manager of Alpine Bank.
