The Snowmass Sun omitted the name of a candidate for Snowmass Village Town Council in an article printed in its Aug. 20 edition. Resident Bob Sirkus, chairman of the town’s Planning Commission, is running for one of the two council seats opening up this November.
The Snowmass Sun incorrectly stated that two Base Village restaurants were closed during the USA Pro Challenge in an article in its Aug. 20 edition. Base Camp Bar & Grill and Slice were open Aug. 18 and 19.
Rescuers respond to injured hiker near Snowmass Lake
Bystanders, Mountain Rescue Aspen volunteers, CareFlight of the Rockies and other public safety organizations helped respond to an injured hiker near Snowmass Lake on Tuesday, according to a news release.
