Clark’s Market opens July 19
After 10 weeks of construction, the doors to the new Clark’s Market Snowmass will open at 7 a.m. July 19.
“We’re excited. We’ve had crews working seven days a week to open as soon as possible, and we’re thrilled with how it’s turned out,” said Tom Clark Jr., president of Clark’s Markets. “We thank the Snowmass community for their patience and hope they stop by to see a new market that’s almost 50 percent larger in floor area and remodeled from the ground up.”
The relocation of Sundance Liquor into the old street-front Aspen Sports space has allowed Clark’s Market Snowmass to expand horizontally and add 4,200 square feet to the remainder of the store for a total of 14,310 square feet. Clark’s Market Snowmass will have new, LED-lighted shelving down every aisle, new wood flooring and new paint.
The expanded footprint allows Clark’s Market Snowmass to expand its retail goods and services by over 50 percent. New services include chef-prepared meals, sushi, a coffee bar and a sample area at the front with new products. A local delivery service will be available after the store gets up and running. A flower area will be in the front of the store.

Hours of operation this summer will be 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. Clark’s Express in Base Village will remain open.
A block party celebrating the opening of Clark’s Market Snowmass and the relocation of Sundance Liquor will be from 2 to 5 p.m. July 19 in the Snowmass Center parking lot, with complimentary food from Dietz & Watson and Smart Chicken provided by Clark’s Market.
Beer and wine will be provided by Sundance Liquor and Related Colorado. Mountain Bayou and Taster’s will provide free pizza and snacks. Local band Echo Monday will provide live music, and there will be a bounce house for younger attendees.
Attendees should use public transportation or park for free in the Base Village garage as parking is limited at the Snowmass Center.
