Anderson Ranch receives grant from state office

Anderson Ranch Arts Center has received a grant of $10,000 from Colorado Creative Industries, a division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade. This grant was awarded through CCI’s Colorado Creates Program and will support general operating such as administrative salaries, utilities, office supplies, technology maintenance as well as project costs, capital, technology purchases and professional development.

“The $10,000 we received from Colorado Creative Industries helps Anderson Ranch Arts Center serve as an intellectual and cultural resource providing arts education, art making and transformative experiences to emerging and established artists,” said Executive Director Nancy Wilhelms.

State grants are awarded through a competitive process. This grant signifies that Anderson Ranch Arts Center provides a high level of quality in its programs, community service and administrative ability, according to a statement. With this gift, Anderson Ranch can provide support for educational workshops taught by professionals, artists-in-residence programs, lecture series, children and teen workshops, gallery exhibitions and events. In the summer of 2014, Anderson Ranch hosted 1,102 students, 124 workshops, 29 staff members, 22 interns, 145 faculty members and invited a high caliber of contemporary artists to present to the Aspen/Snowmass community. This grant leverages Anderson Ranch’s infrastructure and core program development, operational capacities and stability in governance, finance and public disclosure.
