A grocery for Snowmass

“Grocery store at Snowmass still in works” announced The Aspen Times on Sept. 1, 1977. “Pat Maddalone of Benedict Associates, Inc. said this week that the company still plans to build a grocery store at Snowmass, but will not start until April 1, 1978. Maddalone said the architectural firm is in the process of master-planning the rest of the Benedict property at Snowmass. It was rumored at a recent meeting of the Pitkin County Planning & Zoning Commission that the grocery store project had been shelved. Maddalone said it is definitely in the works.”
