Washburn: Hats off to partnership support of Geshe Phuntsho’s teachings

We extend our deepest appreciation to the Aspen community, Cashe Cashe, Home Team BBQ, the Aspen Art Museum (AAM), and Aspen Tibet by Gonzo Buddha Tees for their generous support of Geshe Phuntsho’s inspiring mission to relieve suffering and light the way toward understanding. His time in Aspen was a rare and transformative experience, its effects reverberating through our lives.
Phuntsho’s teachings at the AAM, steeped in analytical depth and enriched by his direct experience with the rainbow body — the dissolution of the body into light as a pinnacle of spiritual attainment — left us in awe. With the backing of esteemed lamas, he wove timeless wisdom into our modern context. More than that, his personal healings and house blessings touched our community profoundly: Individuals found renewed strength and calm, while homes shed discord for peace, showcasing his extraordinary compassion.
None of this would have flourished without our partners. Cashe Cashe and Home Team BBQ offered sustenance and a sense of togetherness; the AAM provided a sanctuary for reflection; and Aspen Tibet by Gonzo Buddha Tees lent creative energy to broaden his impact. United, Aspen’s embrace of Phuntsho’s work brought forth miracles of healing and harmony.
This collaboration humbles us, a shining example of what we can achieve together. May it spark ongoing efforts to nurture compassion and insight, reflecting the limitless spirit within our community.
