I don’t know what kind of irresponible journalism your sold-out fish wrapping is attempting to represent, but I demand a timely retraction of your unprofessional suggestion that all turned out to support the Cerise Ranch at the Aspen City Council meeting yesterday.

Everyone I met with was in attendence for issues concerning a larger variety of issues. We were there to support housing and transportation efforts, a solution to the entrance to Aspen, support for sustainable environmental issues and Arbor Day being proclaimed on June 7. That’s community. That’s why I attend City Council meetings — not to hear some real estate wrangling with my taxes.

And your statement that the issue with Cerise Ranch was brought up by 17 members of the public during public comment is false. Elvis had left the building by then, and public comments were closed.

I don’t want my face on the front page of your rag ever again. That’s not why I came to town.
