Stout: Where’s the beef? More like, where’s the ballots?
Ballots? What ballots?
We were told ballots were mailed Oct. 15. When we didn’t receive our ballots by Oct. 22, we checked with the Snowmass Village Post Office and were told they’ve been “trickling” in. We waited another couple days, and my wife and I hadn’t received ours.
My wife called Pitkin County and was told there was many others in Snowmass Village who had the same issue, and it was a problem with the U.S. Post Office. We were told they would send us another ballot on Thursday, Oct. 24.
On Friday, the new ballot arrived for my wife only. I called a couple friends and found two others who haven’t received their ballots. I’ve check our Post Office box twice a day and contacted a TOSV council person to possibly help. Of all the elections in my life, this is the one I’m most concerned with but wondering what is going on with getting my ballot and how the Post Office can be so slow? How many others in Snowmass Village are experiencing this?
Shout out to Alyssa Shenk (SV mayor candidate) for trying to help out. Trying to vote blue but got the blues!
