Siegel: Support for candidates

If the recent election proved anything, it was that there is still work to be done to get the Aspen City Council balanced and productive for the next four years. No doubt there are big issues and decisions ahead. This is no time for more flip-flopping, gridlock, and indecision that was the hallmark of incumbents of the last City Council running for re-election. In short, it is time to re-tool.
I voted for Emily Kolbe in the first round, and she remains my first choice. Emily has demonstrated her knowledge and understanding of the issues and the ability to discuss them in depth. She is a consensus-builder and a decision-maker who will fit well with the three members that will be on board.
Same for Christine Benedetti. She will provide the knowledgeable and thoughtful input needed to get things done.
If you are happy with our city government as it exists now, stay home on election day, April Fools’ Day. But if you truly care about the future of our city, get out and vote for Emily and Christine.
