Pew: United we stand against 1C
Can there be any more October surprises? Maybe the Pitkin County Commission can get Trump to write a letter supporting the runway expansion, so he can get his plane in here? But this stuff doesn’t worry me because the people of Pitkin County are smarter than this.
What really galls me is at least one commissioner is saying that they put 1C on the ballot to give people a choice. We all know that 1C does the opposite and was a reaction to 200, and 200 was a reaction to many ignored requests for the commissioners themselves to let the people vote, as we have always had the right to do in the past.
Why this chicanery? Why was the Airport Advisory Committee stacked with pro-expansion people? Who is the big money behind these efforts, and what do they stand to gain?
Vote “yes” on 200 and “no” on 1C and let the BOCC know where we stand!
