Pearce: A salute to those who helped
I salute the following Givers on Giving Tuesday who saw me through the aftermath of the vehicle/pedestrian accident that occurred in downtown Aspen on Dec. 2, 2024: The passers-by who immediately saw to my well-being and called 911; the EMTs/ paramedics who attended to my condition; the police officers who obtained the information necessary to file the report; and the fire department and ambulance crews who were there in the event their services were necessary. I continue a steady path to full recovery, and am beyond grateful that the outcomes from the incident were not as serious as they could have been, in part due to the fortunate circumstances, but most importantly, thanks to the professionalism, smoothness and genuine care provided by the folks mentioned above.
