McWilliams: Longing for the silver standard?

Now that the U.S. government has adopted modern monetary theory and explicitly finances its atrocious trillion-dollar deficits with money printing, the Federal Reserve will not be able to maintain the farce of “independence” for much longer. 

In short, the Fed is well on its way to losing all credibility.
