Tipton sighting in Paonia, Gardner still missing

Sometimes you have to give credit where credit is due, even if you don’t agree with them. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Colorado 3rd District House Rep. Scott Tipton for attending a town hall meeting in Paonia over the weekend.

Rep. Tipton, we appreciate your willingness to listen to your constituents. Scratch that, that’s your job. Rather, thank you for stepping out into a crowd of 200 who you knew were not going to give you an easy go. Thank you for not being a coward like our Sen. Cory Gardner has been thus far. He must have a very low opinion of us. Does he think our attention spans are that short or that this resistance movement is merely a flash in the pan? Does he think we’re going to forget the deconstructionist, harmful Trump nominees that he voted to confirm despite thousands of constituent calls against those nominees? Does he really think that we’re going to forget that he’s called us concerned citizens “paid protesters”? Does he think we’re going to forget all this for the 2020 senatorial elections? No. No, I think not.

Let me remind everyone that although freshman Sen. Cory Gardner is not up for re-election until 2020, he is poised to be in a leadership position for the 2018 Senate GOP election campaign.
