Roger Marolt column not fit for print

Why would you guys publish such an ill-informed rant by a washed up, old-timer who skis (“Knuckle draggers and the devolution of skiing,” commentary, Feb. 8, Snowmass Sun)? And why would the editor allow it to be published?

People like Roger and the editor are part of the growing problem of division instead of unity in this country. Well done. I thought we, skiers and snowboarders alike, all did what we do because we enjoy the outdoor lifestyle and camaraderie found in winter sports. Why is this hack and The Aspen Times trying to turn it into a red versus blue, which-side-are-you-on ordeal? It doesn’t make sense. You guys should be ashamed. When an article has 100 percent negative feedback and 0 percent support from fellow skiers, like the writer, I think you know you’ve produced pure garbage. I used to only read The Aspen Times. I’ll never pick it up again. Thanks.
