On the front page of the Saturday issue of The Aspen Times there is a photograph of a girl who is identified partly as follows: “Aspen High School’s Edie Sherlock lays on the ground to catch her breath …” Stated correctly in English this sentence should read, “Aspen High School’s Edie Sherlock lies on the ground to catch her breath …”
