Mullins a wise, thoughtful leader

I am writing to support Ann Mullins as Aspen’s next mayor.

Ann has built a solid record in our community, first as a volunteer on the Historic Preservation Commission and over the past six years as City Council member.

She has voted with conviction and stuck with her principals even as other members of the City Council flip-flopped on issues. She was against Ordinance 19, and when it ultimately failed, she picked up the pieces and led the council to adopt changes to city policy that have a real and positive impact for small-lodge owners.

She has reduced the number of diesel buses in town by getting RFTA to purchase electric buses for use here. She has supported new affordable-housing projects, both with private partners like Peter Fornell and in collaboration with the housing authority.

Ann is a smart and thoughtful leader. She doesn’t make big promises that can never be realized, but instead works quietly and wisely to make Aspen a better place to live, raise a family and own a business.

Please vote for Ann Mullins for mayor.
