Letter: Truth isn’t a trial

The attorney for the disgraced Chris Jacobson asserts now that Jacobson is being tried by the press!

In the first instance, all the press has done is report accurately the atrocious behavior of Jacobson. Reporting the truthful facts is hardly a trial.

Secondly, if he is being tried, as his attorney asserts, then he can defend himself with an admission of his disgusting behavior and apologize for his deplorable conduct. And he certainly should resign his public office!

His actions have been truly offensive to all the community.
