Letter: Too much change on Base Village plan

Here is more evidence that the Base Village condo owners are Snowmass Village’s second-class citizens. I own a condo in Capitol Peak.

We were promised an “aquatic center” or at least a swimming pool. Telling us that it’s not needed because of the recreation-center pool that has monthly dues of $60 per individual should satisfy us? Nuts! That invites more litigation, which will include the town of Snowmass Village.

We owners refuse to see our parking spaces infringed upon. Tell Related to build a parking facility under the new hotel if one is built.

There should be 150 percent bonding of any new public or private construction. Otherwise, Related could at any time abandon Base Village, as it did before.

All residents and property owners should vote on the current Related application. Why? Because this is a major change of the 2004 planned unit development that residents approved.

Fool me once, your fault; fool me twice, town of Snowmass Village’s fault.
