Letter: Time to rally for the Wylys

I thank y’all who supported Roderick O’Connor. Your efforts were noble and historical and won’t be forgotten. You did a great job!

Now you and others can project your voices in the Roaring Fork Valley and all the way to Manhattan Island in New York City. You can tell someone there, who is important in your part of America, that he has friends, well wishers and defenders who rise up to the occasion with gratitude, fortitude, dignity and determination.

Listen up!

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has a trial going on against one living man and one dead man. For those who have intelligence and heartfelt appreciation in Aspen and Basalt, I ask you to stand up to let your fearless voices be read and heard by all of America, whether in your local newspapers, The Denver Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Dallas Morning News or other periodicals, including The New York Times.

I am talking about Dallas/Aspen multibillionaire Sam Wyly and his dead brother Charles’ estate. When the chips were down for some of you or many of you, the Wyly brothers came through for you. Didn’t they?

You can always tell who your real friends are when your back is up against the wall, isn’t that right? And who definitely appreciates you, too, don’t you agree?

Kick up some dust for the next few months by sending your letters to the newspapers or getting out your letters to respond to news stories you read or hear about on the Wyly brothers.

I am certain Sam and Cheryl Wyly will appreciate and find comfort in your thoughts as a David goes up against a Goliath.

I wish you all well in this noble endeavor.

If you ever have the chance to visit Sam at the federal courthouse in New York City, do it now. You can walk in there and sit down to show your support for Sam.

I guarantee everybody in the courthouse will take notice of you in awe. It’s an impressive building with a nice interior.

Who’s getting on a jet plane right now to New York City to give their best regards in person to Sam and Cheryl? Let’s get busy!

Enuff said!
