Letter: Time to move on
Here’s my takeaway from the annual AREDay Conference in Snowmass Village: Electric and gas companies are under more and more pressure to make themselves relevant. Coal production is shrinking, likewise oil, and eventually natural gas.
It’s time to read the writing on the wall. Fossil fuels are going to be extinct. Renewables are growing at the speed of light. America should be retraining people who work in the fossil fuels business.
We have no more steam engines, horse and buggies or candles for light.
Let’s move on.
