Letter: Tibet in Aspen

Hello, my friends — Aspen Tibet is delighted to share with you the monks of the Gaden Shartse Phukhang Monastery through Sept. 5 as they work to raise funds for their dormitory that was dilapidated and recently has been torn down. Donations are welcome.

As part of the Sacred Arts of Tibet Tour, they will be creating a Menla (Medicine Buddha) sacred sand mandala in Raven Heart Gallery opening today at 2 p.m. and dissolving Aug. 30 at noon with a Menla mandala discussion at the Red Brick today at 7 p.m.

Also offered during this visit are guided mediations at O2 Friday and Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and a Mandala workshop at the Red Brick Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon. A variety of talks, group healing sessions and the Menla empowerment are also available to the public with the full event schedule at http://aspentibet.com and Aspen Tibet’s Facebook page.

Private events such as personal healing, home and business blessings, and meals also are welcome by appointment. Please contact serene@aspentibet.com or 970-948-9279 to schedule.
