Thanks to Thrift Shop grants

Many thanks goes to The Thrift Shop of Aspen for their generous grant that helped fund several writing lab events this spring. Local author Jill Sheeley taught writing workshops for all twelve classes of first- and second-grade students. The grant also covered the fourth-grad girls’ Authors’ Tea, a yearly event for fifty girls, their teachers, administrators and the visiting authors. The Thrift Shop of Aspen’s grant is an example of how the Aspen community continues to support education in The Roaring Fork Valley. The Aspen Elementary School students and teachers are so fortunate to be beneficiaries of The Thrift Shop’s volunteer efforts.
