Letter: Thanks from the Aspen Power Plant
Thanks from the Aspen Power Plant
Aspen City Council, fellow applicants and the community of Aspen:
We are eternally grateful to the Aspen City Council for its decision to award the Aspen Power Plant the opportunity to reclaim the power-station building and invigorate that wonderful site with new energy. We are humbled by the outpouring of support from our friends, neighbors and community who showed up for council meetings and public hearings to support our team and vision. Lastly, we were honored to be surrounded by such deserving and thoughtful proposals; we truly hope to support all of you in your continued quest to find a permanent home for your respective visions.
As we begin the process of lease negotiation with the city, our hope is to engage the surrounding neighborhoods and the community at large to openly discuss any questions you may have concerning zoning requirements, parking and traffic mitigation, noise levels and general operating intentions. We are thrilled to join and add to this magical Aspen neighborhood and are committed to responsibly revitalizing this historic building.
Our vision relies on community. Please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org, feel free to stop us on the street for a chat, and be on the lookout for open community forums — free beer tends to open up lines of communication!
