Letter: Thanks for a great Homecoming Pep Rally
It takes a village to create a community, and it takes community spirit to create a fun pep rally. The Aspen High School Booster Club would like to thank everyone who made this year’s Homecoming Pep Rally and Bonfire such a success! This event would not be possible without the unwavering support of Randy Ready and the city of Aspen. He has perfected the seamless setup of integrating the high school into the community of Aspen. We couldn’t have a bonfire without the diligent eyes of the Aspen Volunteer Fire Department and the Aspen Police Department, which helped make the evening fun, safe and memorable for all. The always-present Paul Hufnagle is a familiar face who blends all the communities into one. We would not have a Booster Club without student boosters, who came early and stayed late with full enthusiasm and cheer to bring to the crowd. Thank you to Jeff Sivess and Snowmass Lawns and Plants for donating his truck to our Student Senate to do its show. Emery Major provided his sound system so that all cheers could be heard throughout the town. The high school Dance Team provided delicious cookies and performed a fabulous show, which included an unforgettable dance segment with the senior football team. And no pep rally would be complete without the energizing music of the Aspen School District Band — thank you, Steve Heldt!
