Letter: Thank you, Roaring Fork Valley

What a generous outpouring of support by our local nonprofits and businesses for area student scholarships! We had the privilege of attending the Basalt High School Scholarship Ceremony on May 7. We were proud parents of our graduating senior, who was the recipient of scholarship funds. We are also proud residents of the Roaring Fork Valley and were impressed with the outpouring of scholarship funds that were so generously donated. The organizations awarded more than $300,000 to Basalt High School students alone; imagine what was awarded valleywide! Thank you to the following organizations: Alpine Bank, American Legion, Aspen Board of Realtors, Aspen Community Foundation, Aspen Elks, Aspen Rotary, Aspen Thrift Shop, Basalt Boosters, Basalt Education Foundation, Basalt Lions, Buddy Program, Carbondale Rotary, Colorado PEO, Colorado Restaurant Association, Colorado 500, Defiance Community Players, Emily Johnson Play it Forward, Emily Thomas Memorial, Erik Newbury Memorial, Glenwood Springs Kiwanis, Greenhouse Scholars, Junior Achievement, Key Chain, Les Dames D’ Aspen, Light Ranch at Old Snowmass, Prostart Culinary Program, RFCEA Teachers, Rotary Club Roaring Fork, Snowmass Rotary, Trashmasters. Thank you! We appreciate your generous support of our students!
