Letter: Slow-growth candidates for Basalt
Basalt has a pivotal election coming up this month.
Jacque Whitsitt is running for re-election as mayor. She is a slow- and sustainable-growth candidate. If you support open space, collaborative pubic-private partnerships and a commitment to finding smart, pro-Basalt solutions, she is your gal.
Katie Schwoerer and Jenn Riffle are running for two of three open seats on the Town Council. They are both sharp as tacks. Katie has spearheaded many community protests including the Crown Mountain Recreation Center, the Tree Farm and the Willits public-improvement fee. Jenn is active in Basalt for open space and sustainability programs. Both are also slow- and sustainable-growth candidates.
Please consider these women’s voices as critical for Basalt’s future.
