Letter: Related lacks respect for Snowmass residents

Dear Snowmass Town Council members,

We have been full-time Snowmass Village residents for 19 years, love our town and have been increasingly frustrated by the lack of progress in Base Village and the apparent disingenuous behavior of Related. Although very few full- and part-time residents are privy to all the pertinent information, it seems reasonable to conclude that granting Related an extension of its vested development rights without seeing firm plans and without some sort of meaningful and financially painful, non-performance sanctions might be ill-advised.

Please consider the past non-performance of Related as regards to Base Village and Related’s apparent disrespect for Snowmass Village residents per se and our personal investments in our community.

Nancy and Philip Shalen
