Letter: Misled on lodging
Thank you, Su Lum, for pointing out that 14 of Aspen’s 19 hotels charge less than $200 and 11 charge less than $150 (“The cost of closet space,” Commentary, The Aspen Times, Sept. 9). Seems the Community Development Department and City Council have been misleading us that Base1 and Base2 were so needed as “affordable lodging.”
This is why it is good to look at more than one source. On the national level, I read http://www.antiwar.com.
