Letter: Indoor tennis, anyone?

The Advantage Indoor Tennis Courts group is raising funds to enclose the four tennis courts at Crown Mountain so that they can be used in the wintertime. This will be the only public indoor tennis center in the Roaring Fork Valley, and its central location makes it convenient for our entire valley tennis community. The facility would revert to covered outdoor courts in the summer.

Additional benefits:

• Extend court life — protect from freezing.

• Maximize the value of the investment in the construction of the courts by making them usable 12 months instead of five.

• Provide year-round jobs for tennis pros, coaches and instructors.

• Your skill will improve since you’ll have so many more opportunities to learn, practice and play!

The cost for the tennis center is $1.12 million, and any donation or in-kind donation is welcomed.

Please visit our website, adinrfv.org, to learn more about this exciting opportunity for all tennis players and future tennis players.
