Letter: Hamas’ goal is to divide and conquer

I find it very interesting, but not surprising, that Hamas is celebrating victory in the horrible jihadist war that it started and brought onto itself and Israel!

Gaza will take about 10 years to rebuild (if Hamas doesn’t start shooting mortars and rockets again), with over 2,000 lives lost in Gaza and over 70 dead Israelis. In war there are no real winners — just pain and loss on both sides; one side kills more than the other side.

When Israel disengaged from Gaza, there was no blockade, the border was open with Egypt, and the Palestinians were left greenhouses that could have been prosperous for the Arabs, but they choose to destroy the greenhouses and send constant rockets into Israel! Hamas took over control from Fatah and threw many of its own people off buildings. Then Israel started the blockade in 2007 to stop the shipments of weapons. Reading letters to the editor that only blame Israel, it is so obvious that the writers are just old-fashioned anti-Semitic Jew-haters!

The old saying is still true: If the Arabs put down their weapons, there would be peace. If Israel put down their weapons, there would be no Israel! The one-sided letter writers would most likely enjoy the death of Israel!

There’s a very clever cartoon that shows Hamas negotiating with Netanyahu and John Kerry sitting in the middle of them. The Hamas guy has a sign that says “Death to all Jews” (which is in the Hamas charter). Kerry asks Netanyahu if he can meet the Hamas guy halfway on his request.

The war to annihilate Israel is not about occupation or land — it is a jihadist agenda just like the Islamic State that just beheaded James Foley, whose only crime was being an American.
