Letter: Crown Mountain Park Easter-egg hunt a success

On April 4, Crown Mountain Park was prime hopping ground for the fabled Easter Bunny. Spring had sprung, and the warmth of the Colorado sun brought out not only Easter-egg hunters but many park users with the many soccer games, Little League baseball, tennis players, park users and BMX riders; it was a fun, community day. More than 4,200 eggs were hidden in three separate hunting areas classified by age from very young to teenagers, and it took the more than 500 estimated participants and families no time at all to fill their spring baskets! Crown Mountain Park would like to recognize and thank our many volunteers: Diana and Brad Elliott and the members of Basalt Boy Scout Troop 242, board members Rich Pavcek and Katie Schwoerer, and the Crown Mountain staff members, who were up early to prep baseball and soccer fields as well as hide eggs. Happy Easter, everyone. Look for many new and exciting upcoming events at Crown Mountain Park. Stay up to date at http://www.crownmtn.org.

Thank you to all the participants, both young and old — we look forward to seeing you at the next community event.
