Letter: Buddy Program kicks off summer with help from Zeno

A big thank-you to Zeno Aspen for generously hosting the Buddy Program’s Summer Kick Off Party last week. We are very grateful for its support! Thanks to its generosity, we were able to honor our 2014 Lemonade Day sponsors, including lead sponsors Nancy and Richard Rogers/Mary Kay Inc., recognize all of our Big Buddies and recruit several new Big Buddies. If you are interested in becoming a Big Buddy and learning more about this meaningful, fun volunteer opportunity, contact me at heather@buddyprogram.org. I’ll be happy to take you to coffee and tell you what’s involved in changing two lives for the better — yours and your Little Buddy’s!

During the evening, we also launched our Junior Council — a donor group for the up-and-coming, influential members of the Roaring Fork Valley who wish to support the Buddy Program’s mission to empower youth through mentoring experiences. Members are encouraged to donate $120 a year for an individual and $180 a year for a family. Benefits of joining include discounted tickets to this year’s Bash for the Buddies. Please visit http://www.buddyprogram.org/donate/junior_council for more information.

Thank you, Zeno, for helping us make a difference in our community!

Heather Hicks

Director of recruitment, the Buddy Program
