Letter: Bible teaches terrorism

Well, children, here is the way the “occupier” game is played. Israel occupies land, builds settlements on stolen land and oppresses the Palestinians. Children on both sides learn quickly that peace is out of the question, but terrorism is a way of life on both sides of the green line.

There’s a storybook written by a bunch of old men called the Bible, the most violent book I have ever read — old and new. Its hidden message is terrorism. “An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.” Soon they will all be toothless and blind. But Israel could put a stop to this madness by negotiating a fair and equitable peace, even while there are acts of terrorism. Don’t let the terrorists win, or there will never be peace.

The Talmud teaches peace and respect. The Bible teaches violence.
