Aspen cult classics hit the silver screen

Dear Editor:

Lest you be sleeping in the splendor of the summer solstice, let me reveal a secret. The Hysterical Society is having a film series during its 50th celebration called Chautauqua. Four cult films from the best era of Aspen’s history.

Because I was barely here during the ‘50s, I do like to crown the ‘60s. Most people agree it was a blast of very exciting air.

Because of a conflict of interest, I cannot reveal the names of the films, but I can assure you that it will be “over the top.”

I will see you there; it is like the ‘60’s — free. However, this time, no smoking in the cinema tent.

Hang on, just got permission to reveal the characters of the series: Plumpick, Clouseau, Grogan and Jack D. Ripper.
