Letter: A wonderful remembrance

I would like to thank all the amazing people who made Basecamp a reality, especially the Aspen Valley Land Trust, which coordinated this effort with such professionalism. Every donation, no matter the size, made this purchase possible. All of you who made a donation in Willard’s memory, I cannot thank you enough! Willard’s Way will be an incredible memorial to a great teacher who impacted so many children’s lives in the Roaring Fork Valley. The stories he received from parents, former students and colleagues over his last year moved him profoundly. He truly loved what he did as an educator. His passion for the wilderness made Outdoor Ed particularly dear to his heart. I am so proud to have Willard remembered in this way. Thank you all so very much.
