A letter to Isaacson

Dear CEO Walter Isaacson, of the Aspen Institute,

That was certainly a real nice photo of you on the front page of the other local paper (that the Crowns censored for a while after a particularly painful Brent Gardner Smith article).

When you spoke to us at the Aspen Education Foundation, you said journalist Julian Assange (and whistleblower Edward Snowden) should be prosecuted for espionage. I asked you, “Despite being Australian?”

It should be noted that Booz Allen Hamilton, along with Monsanto, is one of your big-money donors.

Walter, I’m real sorry to those Aspen Institute employees who said they’re real scared of me for my poor word choice in my prediction of revolution. (Aspen’s a small town of 7,000, and everyone knows I’m real funny.)

My neighbor said the big joke was claiming that “fear of Lee Mulcahy” equaled a promotion.

Small-town politics? We white-trash, NRA lovin’ Texans love our Wild West “shootouts.” Note to lawyers: That’s a metaphor.

Walter, If I beat the Democrat supported by the unions in state Senate District 5 representing Vail, Eagle, Crested Butte, Gunnison, Gypsum, Basalt, Paonia, Hotchkiss, Delta, Buena Vista, Leadville, Salida and Lake City, will you drop the ban?

LOL — I promise not to pass out any more living-wage fliers at the institute critical of the Dickensian, miserly pay policies of the Crowns and their military-industrial and Wall Street crony capitalism.

Lee Mulcahy
