Get involved in Gorsuch Haus process

I wanted to take a bit of time to apologize for a less-than-genteel letter I wrote last week regarding FIS questioning Aspen’s “appetite” for hosting future World Cup events (“Community blackmail by Gorsuch Haus, FIS,” March 24, 2017, The Aspen Times). That letter was written in a moment of rage I had when I read their statement the day after what I thought was the most incredible community effort I have ever seen in my 52 years in Aspen. Sentiments not withstanding, unfortunately I used a few choice words and phrases I wholeheartedly regret. Please accept my apologies if I have offended.

As for the reference in my letter to Gorsuch Haus, I would add, without condemning or supporting that development in this letter, each individual in this community has a vested interest in that project. Ignore the words, rhetoric and marketing. Picture what you want up there. Get involved in the process, get informed, and make sure that what gets developed up there is the absolute best it can be for this community.

It’s that simple.
