Aspen Skiing Co. should revisit policies
The letter in Tuesday May 30’s Aspen Times from Renee S. Grossman about Aspen Skiing Co. treating locals like garbage is nothing new (“Aspen Skiing Co. shuns locals”). Jim Blanning found that out 40 years ago. He bought mining claims on Little Nell and near the Sundeck and put up fences to keep Skico guests off his property until the Skico gave him a lifetime pass and paid him a lot of money.
While Skico does a lot for the residents of Pitkin County, allowing local passholders to ski on extended days couldn’t bother anybody. Perhaps the Skico needs to take a second look at their policies.
