A balanced brain puts you on an even keel
Why is brain fitness so important? Because the brain is the control center for the body.
The brain helps our bodies to not only respond to stress but to recover from stress. Ninety-five percent of all diseases come from stress. Our survival value is how well we adapt to our constantly changing environment.
Stress response and recovery is a function of our sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. The sympathetic system is our survival/fight or flight mode. The parasympathetic is our healing system.
If our bodies are stuck in the stress mode, it has a challenge to heal. The stress mode can come from a work hard/play hard lifestyle.
Chronic stress is associated with a loss of self-regulation. This leads to inflammatory processes in the body. Inflammation leads to most of the diseases and illnesses.
Injuries should be able to heal. If they don’t, that person is stuck in a sympathetic stress syndrome and there is a problem with self-regulation.
The good news is that there are things that we can do to help bring our bodies back to balance.
The first step is awareness in lifestyle choices. Deep breaths will engage the parasympathetic system.
A holistic health approach can restore balance to the body. This includes light and sound therapy, chiropractic adjustments, nutritional support and detoxification.
The world we are living in is more stressful than ever before. People are sicker than ever before.
Brain fitness will balance the brain. When the brain is balanced, the body will be balanced.
