Letter: Youth Zone Ascent on Saturday
On behalf of the Youth Zone Board of Directors, I want to say thank you to the many individuals and organizations that have already made contributions to our first annual fundraiser the Youth Zone Ascent. This fundraiser began Sept. 22 with youth teams across the valley doing fantastic community service projects. The fundraiser culminates with a fun “ascent” race on Oct. 8 starting at 9 a.m. at Two Rivers Park. Your contributions have already raised over $80,000 toward our goal of $150,000. Special recognition to those contributors and any others will be forthcoming!
Now I must ask you, would you like to be part of this special group by giving a donation to Youth Zone or participating in this fun event on Oct. 8? Do not miss your opportunity to help this wonderful organization – where we serve over 1,100 youth, ages 6 to 18, tackle life challenges and help them go on to become wonderful citizens – that is an essential part of your community. We even help the moms and dads find the avenues of success by better understanding the challenges of parenting. Have you ever been challenged as a parent?
Please take a moment to give to Youth Zone by making a tax deductible donation. You can do so online at http://www.youthzone.com and also check out the awesome online auction. Or, by participating at this weekend event starting at 9 a.m. at Two Rivers Park in Glenwood Springs.
Please be a part of our 40 year anniversary of serving your community from Aspen to Parachute by participating at any level in the Youth Zone Ascent for our community youth!
