Letter: Writer will bring innovation to BOCC

Scott Writer has my vote for Pitkin County commissioner!

He is a true-blue Aspen local. I have known him for 20 years. He has always been honest, intelligent and looking for ways to create a better life for those of us who live and work here. I have watched Scott over the years acting in his innovative ways motivated to find avenues to improve our lives. It was through his efforts, fighting for and finding financing that the Aspen Recreation Center became a reality. He will bring that fierce drive to the Pitkin Board of County Commissioners!

Scott has been coach to many of our youth and he continues to develop new ideas to improve local employee housing so they will have a place to live when they join the workforce. Scott is an outside-the-box innovator searching for ways to improve the program for retirees so we can remain after we have worked our last job. It is because Scott knows the value of longtime locals with their great ideas, commitment to volunteering and hard work that he knows our survival is imperative to a balance community.

Thanks, Scott, for all you do for the Roaring Fork Valley!
