Letter: We don’t need a bully in the White House

Donald Trump is a bully. He bullies women, Latinos, Muslims, Mexicans, the press and anyone who stands up against him. I’ve been very badly bullied before, but Trump is one of the worst bullies in this world. I don’t want him as president because presidents are role models.

Even I, as an 11-year-old, can see what a bad role model he would be. How can we possibly teach children not to be bullies if our own president is a bully?

I feel so strongly about this that I have been volunteering for Hillary Clinton’s campaign even though I’m not old enough to vote and I don’t know yet whether I’ll be a Democrat. Even so, I have been making phone calls and knocking on doors and getting out the vote.

Even if you don’t agree with Hillary Clinton, there are plenty of people, including Republicans, who don’t agree with her and are voting for her anyway. You don’t need to agree with her to vote for her. You just need to vote for her.

A local student and kid who is counting on you,

Charlie (last name withheld)
